Please note customers will only be able to use irons whilst using the driving range at Altrincham Golf Course between  9am and 6pm Monday to Friday, whilst our team continues to work on resolving a technical issue that has seen a small number of balls land in our neighbouring school’s property, at the back of the driving range. During this time period customers will not be able to use woods.

Trafford Leisure takes the health and safety and the safeguarding of its community very seriously, and as such needs to be sure no balls can enter the school’s property, to avoid injury or damage to their staff or their children.  Asking customers to use irons during school opening hours will minimise the risk of golf balls travelling across the boundary.

We understand this is disruptive and we know our customers won’t welcome these interim restrictions in a world of Covid regulations. But we do know that, like us, our customers would not want any child or teacher to be hurt.

Trafford Leisure has already undertaken a full risk assessment and is working with Trafford Council, looking into a number of solutions to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

Trafford Leisure apologises for any inconvenience this causes and wants to remind customers that they will be able to use their full range of clubs at the driving range from 6pm till closing during the week, and as normal during the weekends.

In addition, we have increased the number of Top Tracer bays, investing in a further five bays, taking our total up to 15, and have also changed the last session so that last balls served at 8pm. The Golf Course will remain open as normal.

We will keep you updated on the situation and we thank you for your patience and ongoing support.
